The Sprite looked wrong for about five minutes, then started to make sense. It is still unusual, but now it feels like a deliberate chapter rather than a novelty.
Why it landed
Rolex rarely disturbs the grammar of an icon. Moving the crown and date to the left changed the silhouette without changing the underlying GMT language.
The green-black bezel does the rest: enough colour to be noticed, enough black to stay wearable.
What to check
As with any current GMT, condition and set quality decide the conversation. On the Sprite, we pay extra attention to bezel edge condition because the green half catches light and marks clearly.
Bracelet choice is personal. Jubilee softens the asymmetry; Oyster makes the watch feel more technical.
The Sprite works because it is odd without being loud.
